A 19th Century or earlier Eskimo Wood Mask possibly resembling a sea mammal, with an open mouth showing the remains of red pigment. The eyebrows may represent a fish tailfin. Reportedly collected off Kodiak island by a local fisherman. This large oversized mask measures an impressive 20" height. Ex Sothebys, New York, May 27th, 1987.
