A beautiful Pre Columbian Mayan Chief Hacha with avian headdress carved from fine grained granite stone. Pierced for suspension with a cane reed drilled biconical perforation. Measures 8 7/8" height x 8" width. Acquired from the estate of an oil executive who acquired the hacha while working in Guatemala in the late 1960's.
